The last evenings of July 1865.
In the solitude of the mountain
Fr. Palau’s heart exclaims to solitude: Oh solitude, how estimable you are!
At the centre of his reflection is found the icon of the Church: the Blessed Virgin of Carmel. He feels humiliated but opens himself to gratuitous love.
He perceived Mary telling him: Being Humble, you will not attribute to your virtue what is purely a work of mine. (MR 9:48)
