Reliving the history of our Father Founder

Reliving the history of our Father Founder

Programmed activities

We have asked the Holy See to allow us to celebrate the “Jubilee Year”, a time in which the Catholic Church grants singular spiritual graces to the faithful.

We are in the task of publishing the guidelines for study with key themes on Father Francisco Palau, as a source of reflection and deepening that will help us during the bicentennial year to live his spiritual message with strength.

Similarly, “The routes of the Palautian itinerary" is being edited for publication, which will help us to continue step by step the spiritual and missionary journey of Francisco Palau.

In 2011 we have been granted the honour to make the monographic publication on Francisco Palau in an issue of the magazine “Teresa of Jesus”.

The Chair of Francisco Palau in the CITES was inaugurated with joy and gratitude to God, which aims to make the Palautian spirituality known; to reflect on the presence of the Church in the world with spiritual - mystical experience of Blessed Francisco Palau, and to help the Christian of today; to give a better response to the Church from a radical commitment lived by our Founder.

The publication of a section about Juana Gratias, the first Carmelite missionary, is being prepared with great care, directed and reviewed by the Father Eulogio Pacho.

Soon we will be receiving a DVD about Juana Gratias, the first Carmelite missionary, who, with strength and vocational commitment, accompanied Father Palau in his vocational journey.

As we celebrate 100 years of presence in America, the Foundation in Guatemala was carried out, where the evangelical work of Francisco Palau continues to spread through the Carmelite Missionaries.

In October 2010, the first Missionary Encounter will be held in Bogotá, Colombia, marking the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Congregation and the 100th anniversary of arrival in America. This meeting aims to recreate our missionary spirit from vocational and charismatic strength of Francisco Palau.

In this blog we shall continue to update various activities and celebrations of these three events that mark our ecclesial journey.
