Statement to the Bishop of Barcelona asking for elevation of the “School of Virtues” to a religious society

Your Excellency:

Rev. Fr. Francisco Palau respectfully states to your Excellency the following: Every age has its needs, whose remedy is directed by institutions, and it is to this object which the School of Virtues looks up to. Before formalizing it as a religious association, it is necessary to know the spiritual exercises being practiced every Sunday at the Parish of Saint Augustine - if special purpose is required of it. This is what we believed but since this matter is left to the judgment of the Bishop, it is my duty to comment to your Excellency in order to give a decision, knowing the background of the cause.
