Bicentenary

Fr. Palau passed away! This is the news of the front page of El Ermitaño today, thanking the service given by the wise and zealous founder and director of the weekly newspaper. Who was Fr. Palau? - they would ask. - He was a virtuous priest, a diligent apostle; he offered his precious existence for the welfare of the environment; he was an illustrious son of Carmel; the political upheavals threw him out of the cloister; he spent the best moment of his life in solitude, dedicated to prayer, to the study of the Sacred  Scriptures and meditation of the mysteries of the Church. He was also a prophet: he could forsee the future and unmasked many deceptions. He denounced what would damage his people. El Erñitaño was a unique platform for his mission. It concludes- Fr. Palau has lived and died the life of the righteous.
