Barcelona jail, 23 November 1870
To Rev. Fr. Juan Palau y Soler, capitulary vicar of Barcelona.
His writes from the prison of Barcelona, and with the sick of Vallcarca as background. Palau defends the ministry of exorcism.
He is sure that he has received this mission from God. He cites the gospel text as emphasis: In my name they will cast away demons. He asks the vicar not to oppose this mission.
