He writes him from an irresistible voice of his conscience, asking him advice on the small book entitled The School of Virtue Vindicated. He adds a simple history of the School, and asks for the mediation of the Queen for his own freedom. However, as a Carmelite, as a son of Saint Teresa...I kiss these keys that confined me within those walls of the Mediterranean waters. The chains of my exile are precious to me!
