Reliving the history of our Father Founder

Reliving the history of our Father Founder

Morning of day 30 1866

Dawn at the peak of the mountain

Laban’s daughter perceived a call again: There was deep silence; everything was so quiet that not even the whisper of the wind or the babbling of the sea was heard: all was peace. She realized that she is insistently invited to look at the Beloved: “I fixed my eyes on her, and my spirit was raised up to God, and I saw the holy Church, and in her Jesus Christ, her Head…” And Palau adores the mystery: Oh how beautiful you are, how beautiful!

Raquel, the image of the missionary Church, is identified with the Church of Rome. She has a grand secret to tell him: She holds the key to overcome evil. Thus, Palau, priest of the Church, is called to extend this ministry.

-What weapons should I take? –Palau asks.
- Faith, prayer and sacrifice.

There are two fields where the battle takes place. He perceives what the Church is revealing to him: solitude, prayer, struggles, and the exercise of his authority. Aware of his weakness he complains: Miserable me! What use am I for this mission?

An explanation of the Beloved changes his way of facing it: Just as the captain saves himself by saving his people, so you, by saving others will save yourself; and if you do not save others, you will not save yourself. (MR 17:5)
