Faith

1. Tomorrow the School will have its spiritual exercises at 7 o’clock sharp at the Parish of Saint Augustin.

Faith will be the subject of our conference. Never mind if some people of advanced ideas, giving ear to the most unreasonable egoism and driven into a frenzy, have denied the nobility of faith. Faith, the supernatural virtue, has always emerged victorious in struggles and continuously works against human passions.

Belief in the sublime truths forms one of the oldest and consistent acts of humankind. In every narrative of great events that shaped every age, an account of faith is always shown as an occurrence of momentous consequences for the progress of the people, and as a decisive testimony of the universal consent to a supernatural belief.
