The devastating cholera epidemic also attacked the Village of Aytona. The Palau y Quer family was the first to be stricken. On this date, Fr. Francisco received in Barcelona an urgent call from his family, as his elder sister María Engracia already received the last sacrament and asked for presence of his brother Francisco (positio, 465).
