Reliving the history of our Father Founder

The hopes of returning to live in community gradually fell apart, particularly in a decree issued by the government of Madrid on 21 February 1836, declaring the prohibition of the wearing of religious habit among the exclaustrated, and those ordained must be under the jurisdiction of the respective Ordinaries. In 1835 Fr. Francisco and other religious were saved from cruel death by generous neighbours, but after two or three days they were taken into prison in "la Ciudadela" (Barcelona) with his religious brothers and other religious (Positio XLI and ff).
